This site is a MUST VISIT in my opinion. The information found here will inform you of the different types of Hepatitis. It discusses what Hepatitis is and how it can be contracted, such as by being cut or nicked with unsanitary manicure and pedicure tools. When you get to the site, click on "THE FACTS", then scroll down to "HEPATITIS C", then scroll down to "TRANSMISSION". Read the entire article. Alarming information!

Great site for those of you who want to know what the rules and regulations are in your state regarding the nail care and beauty industry. Click on "State Boards" at the top of the page, then click on your state.

Great site! This is the site of a law firm that is currently handling a number of cases for victims of horrible pedicure infections. A lot of interesting information!

This is the site for the Food and Drug Administration. Search "Cyandie Death" on this site. Then look for everything that has to do with "artificial nail products". You will find it very interesting!

This is an overall GREAT site for health information. Click on "Diseases & Conditions", then take a specific look at MRSA and TUBERCULOSIS.

The Methacrylate Producers Association. This site will give you great information on the chemicals that are used to make acrylic nails and other nail care products.

This site will help you to better understand what a MSDS (Material Safety Data Sheet ) is, how to read one and why they are so important. United States law requires every nail technician to have one of these sheets per every product they use.

This site is for the same purpose as that given above, but is for Canadian residents.

This site will take you to the manufacturer of the Polymer product I have chosen to use and train with.

An eye opener of a site! Search whatever chemical you choose to know more about. Find out if it is a known cancer-causing chemical and or a reproductive toxin. In particular, you may want to take a look at Methylene Chloride, Toluene, Formaldehyde and DiButyl Phthalates.
